What exactly is the Heroes Mud Run?

The Heroes Mud Run is a 5K run with several obstacles and tons of mud!

Hard enough to be challenging, yet at a level nearly anyone can participate in, we encourage you to join in on the fun!

Can I do this?

Yes you can! The Heroes Mud Run is part mental and part physical strength. Anyone can participate that is reasonably healthy. While you may run as an individual, everyone in the run is really on the same team, and will help and encourage each other out as needed along the way.

If I feel unsure about an obstacle and want to skip it, how will you punish me?

The Heroes Mud Run is about teamwork and having fun! If you need help on an obstacle, other participants and volunteers are here to help! If you feel you should skip an obstacle for any reason, we are here to help and support you, not punish you!

Is there an age limit?

You must be age 14 or older by race day, and under 120.

What is included in registration?

I am unable to participate, can I show up anyway?

Yes! Please do. We welcome spectators! There is no admission fee, however parking is $10 per car (feel free to carpool).

I am not a good swimmer, will I be OK?

Yes, there are no swimming skills needed in our run.

What is this post-race party all about?

We will have food and beverage vendors, educational displays, a DJ, contests, and a beer and wine garden!!

How can I get clean after the run?

With our fire truck, of course! Our firemen will be on hand to wash away the muck!

Is the race weather dependent?

No. (Unless a severe thunderstorm or other safety issue arises). Early September rarely produces foul weather, so no matter what, the run will go on.

Are there hotels nearby?

The nearest hotel is less than a mile away. With other accommodations nearby.

Can I camp or RV at your location?

Sorry, we are currently unable to accommodate camping. If you are unable to find a suitable spot, email by contacting us.

Will you have a bag check?

Yes. We will have a safe and secure area for bag check.

We highly recommend you register online, if for some reason you are unable to, contact us here for other options.

I will be unable to make it, can I get a refund?

Sorry! We are unable to process refunds for any reason. If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, email us before the race, and we will save your entrance fee for next year’s race!!


How do I sign up as a team?

Sign up as a team through registration at Start with a creative team name and invite your friends!

What do we get for signing up as a team?

We will be giving out prizes to all teams of 3 or more!

The larger the teamm, the greater the prizes!!

Tell me about the kids run, can kids participate?

Yes! There will be 2 short courses for future heroes of ALL ages, both a “clean” and “muddy” fun run! Pre-registration is recommended to ensure a T-shirt is available on race day, but we will accept day-of registration. Only $10 per child ($15 day-of-event) and includes a T-shirt, hat, and kids goodie bag!

How long is the future heroes’ run? Will it be too hard for them?

We designed the future heroes run to be short and easy enough for kids of almost any age.

I don’t want my kid to get muddy… now what?

No problem. We will have 2 courses. One is mud free. The other one… well you’ll have to wait and see! Choose one, or the other, or both!! One admission price covers both!

How much is the kids run?

$10 per child with pre-register, and includes a t-shirt, hat, goodie bag, and finishers medal.

$15 day of race.
